This organisation reports on the monitoring of transport throughout the Stirling Council area.
Outputs from the sensors inform the Local Transport Strategy (LTS) which aims to improve and maintain transport links within Stirling City Center and the surrounding rural areas. The strategy also intends to develop transportation between Stirling and the other six cities.
Within Transport Survey, vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists are all monitored. The data are divided into three main categories: speed, class and volume.
Journey times are surveyed separately and are used improve transport within Stirling City and its key employment areas.
The 8th City Programme contributed funding towards pedestrian and cyclist monitoring, as well as the journey times monitoring equipment, for Stirling’s Smart Services: Mobility project.
